UnitBirwelco design and manufacture storage tanks and pressure vessels to all recognised international codes or customer requirements. Our shop-built tanks can be sized to hold a range of product volumes, with a maximum diameter of 4.5m and unlimited lengths.
Materials of manufacture are mainly carbon or stainless steels, but we have a range of weld procedures should storage tanks or pressure vessels need to be fabricated from exotic materials. We can also incorporate skirts, saddles or leg supports as alternative siting’s for the equipment.
All storage tanks and pressure vessels can be coated in house and if required, storage tanks can also be internally lined. We also have heat treatment and NDT (including Radiography) capability at our facilities.
UnitBirwelco also design and manufacture standard access ladders, platforms and handrails, including connecting catwalk systems to EN1090 execution class 2.
All steel work can be fully galvanised or coated as per customer requirements. Ancillary items such as radar level gauges and pressure/vacuum relief valves can also be specified and procured through our engineering team.
Our 100,000 square ft. manufacturing facilities are located just off junction 42 of the M4, from where we can provide escorted loads to anywhere within the UK. We also have the benefit of being situated very close to Swansea Docks, should storage tanks or pressure vessels be required for overseas - or as an alternative method of transport to sites within the UK mainland.
Our dedicated team of engineers and professionals have a wealth of knowledge within the storage tank and pressure vessel manufacturing industry, with a combined experience spanning well over 100 years. Please contact us for a quotation, or to arrange a site visit at your convenience.
